OUTFITTED FOR SPRINGIsaiah Johnson | University of Indianapolis

This week, we handed a few of our Campus Sartorialists a $100 Macy's gift card, and tasked them with putting together an outfit for spring by shopping Macy's Junior collection as part of #MacysCampusTour.

Isaiah, our Campus Sartorialist and blogger at A Collected Gentleman, was the first to report back:

"I had an interesting challenge this past weekend shopping at Macy's . My goal was to find some great pieces to wear for the up-and-coming spring season. My first buy was a slim pair of jeans by Levi's.  Everyone needs a good, durable pair of jeans and the iconic Levi's never fails. The second item I bought was a pretty cool looking varsity jacket by American Rag. Baseball/varsity jackets have been pushing their way back into style and I loved  the color and old school feel of this one."

ACADEMY STYLEPhillips Exeter Academy

We'd like to welcome "The Exeter Dress Code" from the Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH to the Campus Sartorialist team. Though we have focused mostly on college campus style in the past, we are very excited to get to showcase some of the great style we see on students from high school campuses.

The Dress Code is a student-run fashion blog dedicated to showcasing the diverse style of members of the Phillips Exeter Academy community as well as promote their unique self-expression. The blog was founded in the spring of 2012 by Megan Do, Stefan Kohli and Adela Locsin. Since then, the staff has extended, adding three more photographers to its ranks: Alix Hunter, Callan Malone, and Ida Piyale. We had been initially inspired by the idea of starting the a web-based documentation of student’s outfits from another boarding school, specifically, the Hotchkiss School’s "Hotchkiss Lookbook". As students, we noticed there was a lack in comprehensive, visual documentation of diverse student fashion and we sought to fill that gap. Beyond that initial goal however, we hoped to create a document that would help promote a greater sense of community by recognizing and celebrating our peers, displaying their diverse and rich cultures.

University of Houston joins Campus Sartorialist

We'd like to welcome Faith Nguyen as a new Campus Sartorialist at the University of Houston.  Faith, an art, film and fashion aficionado, is a Houston native and she is currently studying journalism at the University of Houston.  In her pursuit of honing her skills and knowledge of her favorite topics, Faith created the UH Sartorialist street style blog.  Faith believes that fashion is an integral part of our lives, as the way we choose to present who we are as well as who we'd like to be.  As an advocate for seeing beauty in everyone and everything, Faith chose street style photography as her medium because it shows that style and beauty are not limited to the runways of the fashion capitals or magazines, and are accessible to anyone.  Stay tuned for some Houston street style!
